Critical Competency Modeling & Development Program

Through creating critical success competencies, this program will help drive your organization’s success in identifying top talent and matching them to the best role. This program also is crucial in planning your employee development programs and effectively supports your workforce and succession planning and competency gap analysis initiatives.

The ZR Critical Competency Modeling & Development Program is comprised of the following elements:

  • Identifying the purpose for a competency model and how it will be applied
  • Working with an organization task force or focus group comprised of subject matter experts (SMEs) and those involved in employee hiring and development
  • Developing a set of critical core competencies that go beyond a traditional job analysis
  • Developing a set of second tier critical competencies that will apply at the departmental, team, or job-related level
  • Creating definitions and behavioral indicators for each competency identified
  • Creating behavioral interview questions for each competency identified
  • Creating behavioral statements to reflect each competency at two or more levels—such as individual contributor, supervisor, or manager as applicable

Developing a successful competency based model depends on several key factors. The first factor: understand the organizational performance assessment your organization is striving to achieve. The second factor: identify critical competencies that have an impact on results. The third factor: employee hiring and development strategies and resources to address gaps in critical competencies.

The ZR Competency Modeling & Development Program will provide your organization with the support to meet these key factors, and to achieve positive retention results, effectively utilize talent management resources, and yield a high return on your employee investment.
