Jack Gibson, chairman, is also president and CEO of ZERORISK HR's parent company, International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI). Following his employment with a national consulting firm, he joined IRMI in 1982. Mr. Gibson received his bachelor's degree and MBA from the University of Georgia. His technical training and background are in the areas of workers compensation and liability risk management and insurance, including employment practices liability. He also serves as technical adviser for the Management Liability Insurance Specialist continuing education and certification program, which focuses on risk management for employment practices liability, directors and officers liability, and fiduciary liability exposures.
Mike Poskey played a key role in the formation of ZERORISK HR and currently runs the day-to-day operations of the firm. With more than 20 years of human resources consulting and strategic planning experience, Mike has worked with hundreds of chief executive officers, presidents, senior executives, and recruiting, staffing, training, and organizational development professionals to improve their hiring practices and employee development programs on various levels. He has trained client companies on legal issues pertaining to using pre-employment assessment instruments in the workplace and has coordinated more than 500 performance data analytic studies across 25 industries identifying the value patterns resulting in emotional intelligence competencies of successful, productive, safe, and reliable employees.
With a specialty in pre-hire testing, specifically working with the formal, deductive science of axiology, he guided the design and development of the first values-based pre-hire testing program, the ZERORISK Hiring System. Mike has also designed custom values-based emotional intelligence training programs for team, manager, and individual contributor development for small, medium, and Fortune 500 companies.
During his career, Mike has had the privilege to work with client companies such as Transamerica Life Insurance, Hanger Orthopedic, Group 1 Automotive, Amazon.com, Cardone Industries, the YMCA, Susan G. Komen Foundation, and Berkshire-Hathaway Automotive, just to name a few.
An active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Human Capital Institute, Mike has authored articles appearing in various SHRM and trade publications and has been an education speaker for regional SHRM chapters, the HR Southwest Conference, and various trade and industry associations. Mike previously served on the Board of Directors for the Dallas-Ft. Worth Staffing Management Association as VP of Workforce Readiness and is currently on the Panel of Expert Advisors for Behavioral Sciences in Talent Management for the Human Capital Institute.
Dr. Robert K. Smith is the creator of the ZERORISK Hiring System, Clear Direction Management Development Program, Individual Contributor Development Program, and Clear Direction Team Directory and is a consultant for and adviser to ZERORISK HR. Known as a leader in professional development, team-building, and executive advisory services, Dr. Smith is the author of four books, including the award-winning management book Discover Your Blind Spots.
Dr. Smith has provided executive advisory services to companies such as EDS, the Department of Labor, NCR, Universal Studios, Comcast-Spectacor, and the Sara Lee Corporation. His work is based on the science of axiology, a science discovered by Nobel Prize nominee Dr. Robert S. Hartman.
Dr. Smith has three graduate degrees, including a doctorate in human development and conflict management from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Graduate School of Business, University of California at Berkeley. In 1980, Dr. Smith was named a case study fellow with Harvard's Graduate School of Business and had two cases published.
Dr. Smith is well known as a leader in formal axiology and in human resources issues such as behavioral interviewing, retention, pre-employment testing, hiring, motivating, management training, and team building. He is regularly a keynote speaker and interviewed by both radio and Internet media.
Michelle began her career at ZERORISK HR as an experienced human capital consultant working with ZERORISK's clients in the implementation of pre-hire testing and employee development programs. Michelle provided extensive knowledge and support to a broad spectrum of clients for the implementation and use of employment assessment pre-hire testing to improve clients' hiring and selection practices.
As the operations manager, she now plays a key role in new product development, information technology, and strategic partner integration projects that continue to keep ZERORISK HR ahead of the curve from a technology and products and services perspective.
Prior to joining ZERORISK HR, Michelle developed in-depth experience in recruiting, interviewing, and placement during 8 years as a senior associate in a Dallas executive search and staffing firm.
Michelle's background also includes experience in servicing multinational client accounts and maintaining strong client relationships. Through this experience, she honed her exceptional project support and client service skills that she now imparts to ZERORISK HR clients, strategic partners, and internal customers.
As the marketing manager of ZERORISK HR, Nikki brings 10 years of marketing and sales experience. She has worked with both national and local brands, helping them grow their business through their digital presence. Her experience spans a variety of industries, including retail, nonprofit, motorsports, entertainment, health care, and human resources. She has a bachelor of science degree in consumer sciences from Texas State University. Her passion is growth, and she believes nurturing relationships is the key to growing a successful business. She enjoys learning and stays up to date on tools and technology in marketing best practices, giving her new opportunities to grow the company's brand and experience by gaining insight. Senior Web Developer
Alan Jones is the Web application systems and integration developer for ZERORISK HR. He brought 14 years of information technology experience in application design and development to the company. For 10 years prior to joining the company, he worked for a leading national pre-employment screening firm. There, he designed and built systems to handle a wide range of employment assessment pre-hire testing and screening products, such as criminal background checks, education and prior employment verifications, and credit reports. His focus was on using technology to streamline the screening process—increasing data quality, decreasing turnaround time, and helping provide clients the information they need to make accurate hiring decisions. Alan has a bachelor of science degree in physics from the California Institute of Technology.
As our general accountant, Ja'Net has more than 14 years of accounting experience with a very broad spectrum. Ja'Net has demonstrated her accounting skills in the banking industry and property management, as well as in both personal and business accounting at multiple certified public accountant firms. She has wonderful customer service skills that shine through all areas of her expertise, from customer service to accounts receivable. Prior to receiving her degree in accounting, Ja'Net served for more than 5 years in the United States Army. Ja'Net is happily married to her Army sweetheart, and they have two boys.
Manager of HR Services
As the assistant manager of HR Services for ZERORISK HR, Sam consults on the use of ZERORISK and provides training to our clients. Sam graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in human resources development from Texas A&M University. Sam also holds her designation as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Prior to working at ZERORISK HR, Sam gained experience in recruiting and training as an HR specialist in the healthcare industry.
HR Services Account Manager
Chelsea is the HR services account manager for ZERORISK HR. Chelsea provides clients with customer service and consulting support in the use of ZERORISK Hiring System's assessment tool and related human capital management services. Chelsea graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in organizational behavior and human resources from the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to joining ZERORISK HR, Chelsea was an HR generalist in the automotive industry, where she gained experience in recruiting, staffing, on-boarding, and training.
